Time To Tie The Knot

Friends, this comes with a very special message... Finally, after three years of happy-go-lucky attitude, I have decided to graduate to the next and more serious and responsible level ie marriage. And, with the grace of God (and patience shown by many people!!!), the date has been fixed as Sunday, December 2, 2007.

Friends, December 2 is no ordinary date as on the same day in the year 1852, Napolean III became the emperor of France and Fidel Castro became the president of Cuba in 1976. Earlier, Che Guevara along with Fidel Castro reached the shores of Cuba's Oriente province to initiate the Cuban Revolution on December 2, 1956.

While Gianni Versace and Britney Spears celebrate their birthdays on December 2, Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Fujairah, Sharjah, Dubai and Umm Al Quwain all came together to form the United Arab Emirates on December 2, 1971. Interestingly, United Nations has marked December 2 as the International Day for the Abolition of Slavery ! ! !

Well, you may call it the irony of fact but the truth is that I am joining the rank of beleagured married men on a day when the world would generally be talking about abolition of slavery.
